The syntax in my poem helped create the quick and stressful tone. Each stanza represents one of my four years in high school and they are short to represent how quick these years have been. I wish the time would slow down but the tone helps show that it never did and it never will. Each year has been a little harder than the previous with more things to worry about and less time to work.
