McKenna Elliott Assignment 5

Growing up with parents who own a business, I've quickly realized that entrepreneurship appeals to me. I've always excelled in math, and I love how formulaic and concrete the concepts are, whereas in subjects like English, nothing is really for certain. When I grow up, I would love to get a degree in business so that I can become an entrepreneur and build up my own business from a hobby or interest of mine, and make money from it. Business is so appealing to me because with only one degree, the possibilities of what you can achieve are endless.

I plan to achieve this goal by attending college and learning as much as I can about economics, finance, and everything having to do with money in the four years that I'm there. I would love to be an intern for a sufficient amount of time so that I can learn the tricks of the trade to later put into motion in my own business. This goal is important to me because once I achieve it, I would gain a sense of self, independence, and accomplishment. I would hope that I could inspire someone else with the same dream as me to persevere, as well as show them that anything is possible with determination.

In addition to this, I've recently found interest in the practice of law. I love fact-based, healthy, intelligent arguments and questioning everything, so therefore I think I would be able to succeed in this profession. I have not given it too much thought, but it is definitely something that interests me.
