Mark O'Brien Assignment 5
What I truly want to be when I grow up is a professional snowboarder. This goal is fairly implausible because I do not have the means to practice and get better every day. Also, professional snowboarders tend to peak in their career around the age of twenty one. Therefore I would have to put in at least ten thousand hours of riding in the next three and a half years. That means I would have to snowboard at least seven hours a day for the next three and a half years in order to go beyond mastery of the sport and become one of the best in the world. Luckily there are more ways to make money off of the sport besides being a pro. I would love to work my way up through the company Burton. Hopefully one day I could become the CEO or CFO of a premier snowboarding company like Burton. This way I am involved with the sport in a much more feasible and lucrative way. To start making these connections I am hoping to continue my education at the University of Denver.
